Summer vacation is officially over! We had an awesome first two days of school. The kids are kind to each other and listen well. It makes me super excited for the school year.

We did a lot of beginning of school activities to kick off the year. Students learned about the rules and routines of our classroom and played some get-to-know-you games. We did a room tour and began filling out a learning survey to help me be the best teacher I can be for each student. Below you'll find pictures of my homeroom doing a team-building challenge. They had to build the tallest tower that they could using mini marshmallows and toothpicks, but there was a catch...they couldn't speak! It had to be silent. They needed to use nonverbal communication to accomplish their goal. They showed fabulous teamwork and creativity. Mr. Marshall and Mrs. Kennedy (our new redirect teacher) came in today to talk about expectations of the Kennedy School. The whole fourth grade gathered in one room and they were a great audience. Looking forward to starting Bucket Filler next week!
